BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2006--Vallent(TM) Corporation, the global leader in Service Assurance management, today announced that Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL) is deploying Vallent's performance management solution to collect data from their multiple vendors radio, packet core networks, and switching equipment.

XL, the first private company to offer mobile telephone service in Indonesia, provides cellular services for voice and data telecommunications including additional services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). In addition to services for individual cell phone users, XL also has a Business Solution division that provides leased line and other packaged GSM cellular services to corporate clients and local Internet Service Providers (ISP).

XL is deploying Vallent's performance management solution to monitor and manage their multi-vendor, multi-technology network which is comprised of GSM and GPRS technology layers for numerous data sources including Alcatel Radio, Ericsson Radio HLR, Siemens Switching, Huawei Radio and Core Network.

"We wanted a performance management solution that would give us a single source of information for accurate and comprehensive in-depth analysis," said M. Buldansyah, director of network service, XL. "In addition, Vallent's large library of network interfaces will allow us to rapidly deploy new services and respond to new technologies."

XL's deployment of Vallent's performance management solution will allow them to capture the performance metrics they need to manage their complex network infrastructure. This information will help XL optimize network usage, lower operating costs and offer customers the quality of service they demand.

"Subscribers today require more sophisticated, consistent, high quality services," said David Burks, vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific region, Vallent. "Easy access to KPI reporting and key metrics that identify areas for service-quality improvement are needed to proactively improve service quality. The ability to identify anomalies in near real-time and immediately review the results of corrective action are critical in maintaining a high-quality service experience."
