NSW: Bus crash leaves one dead , 12 hurt

The NSW Ambulance Service says a school bus crash on the New South Wales south coast
has left a teenager dead and at least 12 children injured.

An estimated 38 people were involved in the crash between the bus and a ute on the
Princes Highway, 5km from Lake Conjola north of Ulladulla, about 3.50pm (AEDT).

The teenage driver of the ute was killed in the accident and his body is still trapped
inside the vehicle.

Emergency services personnel are working to move the bus which had turned onto its
side and landed on top of the ute.

Ambulances took 10 of the injured children to Milton-Ulladulla hospital.

Three have neck, shoulder and head injuries, while the others sustained minor cuts and bruises.

Another two were taken to Shoalhaven Hospital with neck and back injuries.

It's not known what caused the smash.
