Qld: Bushwalkers criticise poorly signed tracks

Six weary bushwalkers who spent four days lost in Lamington National Park have criticised
poorly-signed tracks after walking out of the dense bushland last night.

One of the six, TINA LAUGESEN, says they became confused during their weekend walk
to the 1937 Stinson aircraft wreck, southwest of Brisbane.

She says the path the six wanted wasn't properly signed.

The group of three men and three women in their twenties and thirties walked out of
bushland about six kilometres from the search base camp at 9pm (AEST) last night.

The bushwalkers say they had enough food to last another day and were confident they
would make it out alive.

But another member of the party, KRISTEN MEAGER has told ABC Radio they became tense
when search helicopters failed to notice their smoke signals.
