Qld: Anti-war protesters set up tent embassy
BRISBANE, Feb 28 AAP - Anti-war protesters were setting up a tent embassy in Brisbane'sKing George Square today.
Peace activist and lecturer in human rights at Queensland University of Technology,Ross Daniels, said the embassy would remain in the city's central square for the nextfew weeks.
The embassy hoped to gather up to 60,000 signatures on a petition to be presented toPrime Minister John Howard.
Organisers were holding a lunchtime rally today in protest at a possible war and callingfor Mr Howard to withdraw Australian troops from the Middle East.
